You got to love Australia ,

So give it, up for Australia, come visit us!

I was inspired to write a song about Australia, because to me Australia is a unique and beautiful country. I had grown to appreciate its culture and many diversities. I had lived in Australia for over 7 years; attended college, built friendships and relationships, and worked and traveled while there. So although the U.S. will always be home, Australia holds a special place in my heart and is a home away from home for me. I wanted to give Australians a patriotic song that they could be proud of. Coming from the U.S. where we are a proud and patriotic people, I decided to write a give it up song about Australia. It's called “Australia Represent”, an anthem for modern day Australia.

I started writing “Australia Represent” in July 2012. The writing took about 1 ½ years as the structure of the song changed many times, including the extensive research required to gather all the facts I needed to complete it.

“Australia Represent” was originally written for a successful Australian female artist. After her manager declined the song it then became my own personal project, as I felt it was a good song with potential. I dedicated myself totally to the song by rewriting, rapping the background vocals, arranging and producing it and finding another female artist to sing lead vocals. “Australia Represent” video shoot took place on June 8, 2014 and was completed and published on Nov. 17, 2014. Between writing, producing the song, and creating the video to “Australia Represent”, the project required much time, effort and sacrifice to make it happen. “Australia Represent” was my first song and video project, so I’ll always remember and cherish it. “I wrote “You’re Like a Breath of Fresh Air” on August 17, 2011. After my relationship with my partner of 5 ½ years ended I was inspired to write this song.

My ex-partner had 2 young daughters from previous relationships. I had no kids of my own, but became an instant family man and father figure once we committed to our relationship. The reality immediately kicked in that it was no longer about me but, about the kid’s needs, then her needs, then her needs again, then her needs again and again, then again! After having to adapt to the pressures and expectations of being a provider, role model, and stable family man. I often found myself becoming frustrated and lost track of who I was and what I needed from the relationship.

A man and a woman’s make up are different. So therefore we have different wants and needs from a relationship. The differences between a man and woman, makes it challenging for them to live together, which is why compatibility is so important!

After speaking to a few of my male colleagues, and friends I realised that most of us men all had similar complaints, frustrations, wants, desires and needs from our women in relationships.

That inspired me to write this song with an ideal partner in the song who possesses all the needs and qualities that most men want from their women.
